La Vieille-Tursan
L’église Saint Jean-Baptiste date du XIIème et fut remaniée à plusieurs reprises suite notamment à trois incendies dont par les protestants au XVIème siècle. Elle conserve malgré tout son aspect roman.

Hagetmau
La Crypte de Saint-Girons, richement ornée de chapiteaux, constitue le seul vestige de l'abbaye de Saint Girons, démolie au début du XXe siècle. Saint Girons y fut enterré au IVe siècle.

Cyril, tes images n'apparaissent pas, tu devrais les réduire pour les poster sur le forum.
Je connais celle de Villefranche-de-Lonchats, j'ai eu l'occasion d'y passer lors de mes BRM 300 de 2013 et 2014.

Très beau site! L'endroit est plutôt couru l'été, festival oblige, mais l'abbaye est magnifique, un endroit qui inspire le calme et la tranquillité, et se prête magnifiquement aux photos, dehors comme dedans.
Il ne faut pas avoir peur du soleil, dans le coin! Ça cogne l'été! Les pneus doivent fondre, non?

L'église romane de de Saint Seurin de Gabarnac date du XII ème siècle.
Faisant partie des richesses de l'art roman girondin, celle ci a été classée monument historique en 1925 pour son portail unique.

Ce portail roman sculpté en faible relief date de la fin du XII ème siècle. Sur le dernier rouleau, on trouve sculpté de gauche à droite, des losanges, des damiers, un personnage debout sur un serpent, une scène de lutte, une scène de chasse à courre où une meute de chiens et son sonneur de trompe poursuivant un cerf, ou encore un cheval conduit par deux chevaliers, un jongleur, un couple de danseurs, deux files superposées d' oiseaux de profil, une nouvelle scène de lutte, des bateleurs et des volutes.

Léo Drouyn crut d'abord y voir en 1841, des oiseaux à tête humaine. Lorsqu’il y revint en 1863, il se rendit compte que ce qu'il avait pris pour des ailes étaient des boucliers et qu'il s'agissait de guerriers portants des boucliers ronds par en haut, pointus par le bas qui donnent réellement à ces personnages des formes d'oiseaux.

Ces sculptures sont magnifiques. J'aime beaucoup l'art du haut Moyen-Âge, plus humble à mon sens que l'ostentation gothique. Même si le sens de cet art (ou plutôt de ce que nous appelons art) nous échappe souvent.

Dans les Corbières (Aude) la chapelle de Quillanet. Elle ne me semble pas très ancienne, ou alors très remaniée (et sauvagement!). Quillanet est un domaine du village de Bizanet, près de l'abbaye de Fontfroide. L'endroit est très calme, un peu perdu, avec de grand arbre certainement très anciens, qui font une ombre bienvenue quand ça chauffe comme cette fin juillet!
