No less than 6000 fluorescent direction arrows will be placed at strategic points to prevent riders going off course.

The controls will always be found in either gymnasiums or boarding schools, both having sleeping places for the participants. The availability of hot showers will be restricted as the schools have a limited amount of hot water and cannot cope with large numbers.

The participation of foreign riders will be based upon the take up in previous years :
