L'Ardéchoise in Rhône-Alpes A big bike celebration

   Today it's a big event which attract 15 000 cyclists, whithouts count familys and escort people.
   At the beignning of the story, four friends from Saint Félicien village decided to create a new trial.
   Alter two years experiments with a district tour, L'Ardéchoise was born in 1992, with the name of Bernard Vallet, best climber in the 1982 Tours de France.
   The 600 participants were charmed by enthusiasm and heat welcome from inhabitants.
   Another gond point ot this cyclosportive, it is beautiful and wild landscapes. You will discover Ardechoise mountain with old volcanos.
   Add to an impressive security system includind prevention close to cyclists and inhabitants, a hundreds of clear arrows and information signboards or personnal encouragements.
   As well as grow Ardéchoise legend without trumpet or drummer. Every year in crease the number of participants.
   Step by step, the or ganisation create commissions, engage secretaries, but especially work ail the year with the 4 000 volunteers from area's villages.
   From these numerous briefings was born disguises and funny dresses, shops and citys decorated, a lot of musical animations, hundreds of signaleurs, huge food and refreshment points supplied since many hours with smile.
   Children would'nt miss this show and help also organisation. Small or big, mate or female, young or old, racer, begenner or cyclotourist everybody start together.
